By way of introduction, we'd like to share an email from one of our clients
"I have used a number of opticians over the last thirty years and have found no-one else that can offer such a complete service as Sercombe and Matheson. Your ability, professionalism and sheer speed of service is second to none. This professionalism seems to be in every individual working in your oganisation and I cannot praise your service enough" David P- July 2011.
We're an independent, boutique, stand-alone optometry practice near Parliament in Central Wellington. Our team is made up of ten friendly and hard-working individuals who think that seeing well is important and that eyes are worth looking after. Half of the team ( including the directors Roger Sercombe and Anne Matheson) are registered health professionals (either optometrists or dispensing opticians) so our education and expertise levels are high. We've also got a volunteer fire fighter, a nurse and an early childhood teacher so we're good in a crisis.
Our independent status means we offer unrestricted choice when it comes to spectacle lenses, contact lenses and frames. We buy frames that we like and that suit our clients and we have an emphasis on quality european brands. We have our own workshop which means we can put lenses into frames and do repairs on site, quickly. Three optometrists means you can usually have an appointment today. and two dispensing opticians mean that the person giving you lens advice is qualified to do so.
To sum up, a recommendation from our Facebook page
" I would just like to praise Sercombe and Matheson Opticians for their amazing and thorough service. I have visited many different opticians in a few different countries over the last 20 years and I have not dealt with such a great team. Not only is their examination the most comprehensive I have experienced but their serivce afterwards to see you in the best frames is like having your own personal shopper that is able to show you options you wouldn't have considered - one of which became the frames I'm wearing right now. Thank you Roger and everyone else" Pete S - November 2011.
